What is Kisimenti and how do I join?

What is Kisimenti?+

Kisimenti is an all-in-one business management platform for businesses in Rwanda. You get a website or storefront, inventory management, sales tracking, invoicing, customer management, bookings, analytics, and more — all from one dashboard.

How do I get started?+

Go to kisimenti.com/start and join the waitlist. Tell us about your business, pick a plan, and our team will set up your dashboard. The whole process takes about 2 minutes.

What happens after I join the waitlist?+

We review your application and prepare your dashboard. You’ll receive an email when your account is ready. Joining the waitlist is free and non-binding — you’re not committing to a paid plan.

Do I need technical skills?+

No. Kisimenti is designed for business owners, not developers. Everything is point-and-click. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use Kisimenti.

What kind of businesses use Kisimenti?+

Restaurants, shops, boutiques, pharmacies, salons, supermarkets, service providers — any business in Rwanda that wants to manage operations online and reach more customers.

Plans & pricing

Billing, plans, and what’s included.

What plans are available?+

Spark (solo & side-business), Studio (small business), Business (growing business), Scale, and Premium. Each plan includes a website/storefront, product management, order tracking, and payment processing. Higher plans add more features like CRM, multi-location support, and priority support.

Are there any setup fees?+

No setup fees on any plan. The price you see is the price you pay. All plans include hosting, SSL security, backups, and your online storefront.

How does billing work?+

Plans bill quarterly, biannually, or yearly. Pay yearly on any plan and get 2 months free. Yearly plans also include a free custom domain and, on Studio and above, a free business email mailbox.

What about domains?+

On yearly billing, we cover your custom domain (.com or .rw) for the full year. On other billing cycles, you can purchase a custom domain separately — prices start around RWF 10,000 per quarter.

Can I pay in USD?+

Yes — card payments are billed in USD (rate fixed monthly). MoMo and Airtel Money are billed in RWF.

Is there a minimum plan length?+

No lock-in. Cancel at the end of any billing period. Your data, domain, products, and customer info are always yours.

Can I upgrade or downgrade?+

Upgrades are pro-rated and take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle. Your data stays either way.

What features are included?+

Every plan includes a website/storefront, product or service catalogue, order management, customer profiles, basic analytics, and payment processing. Higher plans add inventory management, CRM, invoicing, bookings, WhatsApp integration, multi-location support, and more. See the full comparison on the pricing page.

Can I sell products and services?+

Yes. Kisimenti supports physical products, digital goods, services, and bookings. You can manage inventory, track orders, create invoices, and accept payments — all from your dashboard.

Does Kisimenti support compliant invoicing?+

Yes. Compliant invoicing is available on the Business plan and above. Your invoices are formatted to meet local requirements.

Can I manage multiple locations?+

Yes — multi-location support is available on Business and above. Each location has its own inventory, staff, and analytics. One dashboard, one bill.

What languages does Kisimenti support?+

Kinyarwanda, English, and French. You can switch languages at any time from the site header.

Payments

How payments work on Kisimenti.

How do my customers pay?+

You set up your own payment integrations through the dashboard. Available options include MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, and card payments (Visa/Mastercard). Kisimenti does not process payments or hold funds on your behalf — payments go directly to you through the provider you choose.

Does Kisimenti hold my money?+

No. We do not collect, hold, or process payments on your behalf. When your customers pay, the money goes directly to your account through the payment provider you set up.

What happens if I cancel?+

Cancel at the end of any billing cycle. Your account stays active until the paid period ends. Your data, domain, products, and customer info are always yours — you can export everything.

What support do I get?+

Every plan includes 24/7 AI-powered support. Studio adds 2 hours/month of human support. Business adds 8 hours/month with priority response and a dedicated account lead. You can also reach us anytime via WhatsApp or email.

How does AI help my business?+

Our AI helps you draft product descriptions, write website copy, summarise your analytics, and handle common customer questions. It works from your business data and brand guidelines. You always approve before anything goes live.
