Scheba Hotel

“Worst hotel in Kigali - Expensive for what it does - run away I’ve stayed at the scheba hotel from the 1st till the 14th of August and let’s say it was a nightmare. Where to start, well for 3 days straight we had no hot water and when complaining to the staff, they were lying telling us yes, in 10mins water will come … then during the stay you had some days hot water and other days no, depending on your luck … The rooms when we arrived were not prepared, pee and poo in the toilets, beds dirty, room not cleaned. To add to it, the equipments in the room were not working (TV, kettle that was dirty, safe box, lights…). The toiletry (towels, soap, toilet paper, toothbrush …) were not given everyday, most of the time I had to complain at the reception to have it. The cleaning service was not doing their job, room floor was remaining dirty. Electrical plugs were not working, so again had to complain at the reception desk. The safety lock was broken and not repaired … Let’s talk about the food now, well the breakfast, not the best that you can get, but always with cockroach running between the food … The restaurant food ? Well not the best, you better go to the Urban restaurant 10mins away from the hotel if you’ve got no choice nor luck to stay there… And the management, the director of the hotel is a man despising others, showing no respect to the clients and yes he owns the hotel, but he forgets that’s because of the clients that he can have a means to live… He’s manager is man that doesn’t do much besides, saying I’m doing my best and doing nothing because we need to remind him that the rooms are not okay.. No lights during the night so be prepared and some lights are blinking like hell so if you are a bit annoyed by blinking lights well don’t go … This hotel can’t be called a hotel and not even rated with stars, it’s really sad because it’s in a nice area but the hotel does zero maintenance work… Their staff are lying and hiding problems until you’ve already all paid and discovering the nightmare. When the problems arriving like hot water or anything else, no solutions was provided and with the staff and the director saying to us, if you are not happy you can go out from here BUT no giving our money back RUN AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL, AND BOOK BASICALLY ANY OTHER HOTEL THAN THIS ONE. They will take your money and provide no services ! RUN AWAY !”

“The worst food I have ever eaten at a hotel. The rooms are okay and the staff is great. However the dinner was just boiled chicken, rice and a few vegs. Very disappointing.”
